Characteristics
• Thermoformed bi-valve humerus orthosis made from high-density polyethene, with a neutral design and a soft, comfortable, padded textile cover.
• Breathable and skin-friendly lining in technical fabric for a modern look.
• Comprises two thermoplastic valves integrated into the lining, which can be removed and thermoformed* to achieve a perfect anatomical fit for the patient.
• Adjusts with 3 humeral velour straps threaded through 3 butterfly buckles, with hook-and-loop closure and anchor stop to ensure easy, comfortable and secure fastening.
• Valves and straps stabilise the humerus by applying customised uniform compression to the surrounding soft tissues.
• The Y-traction System uses a traction device to increase and adjust the tension, helping to maximise control over the alignment, fixation and immobilisation of the humerus.
• Easy-fit chest strap to prevent the orthosis from slipping down. Padded armpit support for comfortable underarm fitting prevents any chafing or discomfort.
Indications
Diaphyseal humerus fracture, postoperative.
* The valves can be shaped with a heat gun at 150 ºC from a distance of about 15 cm.
